Design and Experiment of Dry-Farming Cantaloupe Transplanter under Water

To solve the problems of high temperature and drought in Xinjiang Turpan area low survival rate melon seedlings transplanted into dry soil, existing transplanters for large plant type young can be mechanized. For non-destructive planting small types, such as Hami seedlings, there are still poor transplanting effects, point precise pile-soil, other problems. In this study, a water transplanter laying pipe film melons was designed to mechanize operation rotating tillage, covering potted on film, injection seedling root hole, soil piling suppression. by coupling motion an earth-covering roller duck’s mouth planter realized mound solved difficult problem membrane, at same time carried out which effectively arid region Turpan, Xinjiang, China. Field experiments showed that under drip irrigation 8 h after exceeded 97%. The efficiency mechanized reach 1 mu/person/hour, is more than times higher manual operation. speed machine 1~1.2 m/s, qualified 93.26%, meets requirements cantaloupe agronomy. This study provides new method transplanting. article also provide design reference mechanization areas.
